Outcome
On the day of announcing DigiArt College's first operation, we successfully launched the website. By leveraging social media and websites, Jennica is able to increase the number of students enrolled, and the school continues to function to this day.

Information architecture

The main feature of this website is booking, where parents may view all of the terms, information, and special offers for each class. I connect the Wix Studio booking plugin functionality to email using Zapier and Vision6, so when a client or parent enrolls their child, they will receive an update on their progress.

For each session that Jennica teaches, I created a dedicated page with all the information, including the estimated time of the lesson, the tools that will be used, and the level of skill.
Solution
Based on my initial observations, gathering more information about trends and metrics related to art schools for children in Australia helps me determine what features and content to incorporate on the website. Jennica and I cooperated on typefaces and color for the design because she was also asking for my advice. While we both had ideas and comments, we met and discussed what was best for her business.
Metrics / Info | Problems | User needs | Features |
|---|---|---|---|
85 % of Australians believe arts should be an important part of kids’ education and that opportunities should be made available while young. | If you fails to develop a curriculum designed for a specific age group, the children or students may lose interest in learning about art. | A program designed for all ages or per age group. Include a program that differs from basic to advanced, and even better, offer trials for free or seminars. | Free seminars and different classes should have separated pages and CTAs on the homepage so that parents are able to direct their attention on it. |
Australia is facing a shortage of specialist art teachers, especially outside metropolitan areas — which means well-qualified art educators are in demand, and specialist programs can be a competitive offering. | Even if a teacher is well-qualified, students will have difficulty finding them if they do not have a online presence. | A online platform created by the teacher in which students can find their work and certificates. | The website will include a "about us" and "contact us" page with information about the school, including its location and hours of operation. After users sign up or subscribe for updates, the website will also be linked to social media and automatically send them emails. |
Initial Observations
Challenge
Jennica wants to build a website for DigiArt where a parents and children can easily navigate find her credentials and curriculum. The website will also serve as a registration tool and an announcement for the latest news and events. Jennica also handed me a brochure to use as a reference for the website's content, which I'll share below.
